# Billing and Data Services

> Understand what a Data Services subscription adds, what your Organization can do without Data Services, and what happens if billing is interrupted.

## What Data Services adds

Data Services allows your Organization to:

* create and manage its own Properties;
* store and manage its own content in ObservV.

## Subscription and pricing

All allowances and overage charges are calculated monthly.

**Storage** is based on how much photo data your Organization keeps in ObservV. **Bandwidth** is based on how much photo data is loaded when people view and use that content.

**First month for \$1.** Your first month costs \$1 and includes 10 GB storage and 50 GB bandwidth. After that, the subscription renews at \$49.95 per month unless cancelled.

**Pay as you go.** Additional charges apply only when your Organization exceeds its included storage or bandwidth.

**No seat fees or billing-based limits.** There are no seat fees or billing-based limits on the number of members, collaborators, Properties, Projects, or Tours.

**Collaborators are not charged separately.**

**You own your content.** The subscribing Organization owns the content uploaded to its account and is responsible for the associated storage and bandwidth usage.

## Without Data Services

Without Data Services, your Organization can still:

* manage Organization members and roles;
* have members contribute to Properties or Projects owned by another subscribed Organization when they have been given access.

Your Organization cannot create its own Properties or store its own content without Data Services.

## Who can manage billing

## If a payment fails

Data Services remains active for 72 hours after a payment fails.

* The Account Owner is notified immediately.
* Global Account Managers, Global Team Managers, and Global Content Managers are notified after 24 hours.

If payment is not resolved within 72 hours:

* Data Services is suspended.
* The Organization cannot access or create its own Properties or content.
* Member, role, and billing administration remain available.
* Existing data is retained for 14 days.

Restoring the subscription within those 14 days restores Data Services without data loss.

After the 14-day recovery period, the data is scheduled for **permanent deletion**. Once deleted, it cannot be recovered.

## If the subscription is cancelled

Cancellation suspends Data Services immediately. There is no 72-hour grace period.

Existing data is retained for 14 days.
